perspective

What do you SEE today? Endless possibilities or endless impossibilites? 

I think sometimes, just a change in PERSPECTIVE is so powerful -  what we see gives us hope OR makes us feel hopeless.   The way we hear something challenges us to keep going with passion or feel alone and like giving up.  The "glasses" we wear is so HUGE, and yet so many of us can go through a whole day, a whole month, or years looking at something and never see the "treasure"  right in front of us. 

Websters defines perspective as "the state of one's ideas, the facts known to one".   So that means the state of YOUR ideas or the facts KNOWN to YOU.   Our perspective is based on what we know...so what's that about?  If I am looking at my life only through the glasses of what I KNOW, then I could potentially get a little overwhelmed, freeze up, draw back, get discouraged, stay in bed, wallow, cry, scream...well you get the picture...(I am SURE only we sicilians respond like that!).  You know what I mean...how many times has the smallness of what we KNOW stopped us... OR slowed us down or even worse, made us "draw back?  But ....I am at the place in life now that I am 50 (haha) that I DO NOT want to waste the precious time God has given me. I want to break out of the smallness of what I KNOW, change perspective and put on HIS GLASSES to see what HE SEES from the "largeness" of His perpective!  Look at Col 3:1 with me for second....

"So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that's where the action is. See things from his perspective. "

  How cool is this?, God is so much bigger than whatever looks impossible to you now.  The odds are not against you - favor is in YOUR court.!   

Pursue the things over which Christ presides -I LOVE THIS!  So then it comes down to...since perspective is 'what  or who you know" - get to know HIM and watch your prespective change to the wide open space of limitless possibitlities around Him!
