Gotta get movin...

 Hey beautiful!

Happy New Year!!  I believe this year is going to be FULL of special surprises, favor and rich discoveries for you!  I don't know about you, but I am coming into this year with fresh "momentum", reaching boldly for what's ahead and not holding back timidly.  I'm starting this year STRONG!

For me, MAYBE  my "slower momentum" was the extra Christmas cookies that I ate!  (Ha! My jeans are just a wee bit tight...)   Seriously, I WISH I could blame it on the cookies!  But, I think that during the holidays,or the busyness of my life, I can forget that the things that are the most imminent are not necessarily the most important.  How many times have I let the pressing things around me, keep me from being focused on the important?! How about you?

 I love this scripture:

"...love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and  intelligence and energy."  And, here is the second: "Love others as well as you love yourself. There is no other commandment that ranks with these."  Matthew 12:29

So, if God is saying, "Hey, here is the ONE thing you should focus on FIRST,"  then, I want to give it some consideration.   I believe how far and how fast I go is connected to this verse. Perhaps my momentum in every area is linked to what is "important".  I think the ONLY way we can live this one out is to understand God is NOT saying, "you must do this," but rather understand it is "an invitation".  An invitation to a relationship with Him.  It's a sacred echo heard throughout time from God to humanity saying, "Hey beautiful, I love you."  And, just in case we didn't get it the first time He says it over and over again.  It's not just a piece of information,  it is an invitation to "transformation".   How cool is that? 

So girls, take the time to ponder the fact that we have been given this gracious invitation, brimming with encouragement, love, forgiveness, grace and God's desire to see his girls prosper.  Let it open your heart to God in a whole new way this year.  Choose to focus more on the important rather than the imminent and your momentum will go to a "whole nutha level"!   You all are magnificent and, I have to tell you, I absolutely LOVE doing life with you.  Looking forward to seeing ALL of YOU at the BY Conference February 26-27!  (Only 53 more days!) It won't be the same without YOU!
